R3.16

Finding the right pickleball paddle is a process. I’ve tried out quite a few while on the hunt for the one with the right balance of power, spin and control. I play both singles and doubles at the Senior Pro level and the Ronbus R3.16 paddle turned out to be the perfect combination of all these characteristics for me, along with it being a great bang for your buck. The Toray T700 carbon fiber surface generates plenty of spin. With the elongated shape and addition of some lead tape, this paddle packs a powerful punch, giving you the ability to hit drives with ease. The 16mm core allows for the right amount of control for resets and dinks at the kitchen. And finally, the less is more minimalist design is understated and appealing. I came from using a CRBN1 paddle. The R3.16 is a “carbon” copy, but at an exceptional price. Thankfully you’re not paying for the marketing that a lot of the bigger name paddles have to pass along to their customers. I have been playing with the Ronbus R3 for about a week now. Power is good and control is amazing with this paddle. I am getting a lot of spin out of this paddle and serves with the R3 are extremely good. The sweet spot feels spot on and I have nothing negative to say about it. I think the Paddle is a little head heavy but it does not bother me at all. Only thing I would change would be the boxy grip, I am coming from the Legacy Pro which has a octagon style handle (better feeling IMO). I think the R3 is going to be my go to doubles paddle and the Legacy Pro is going to be my singles paddle. Overall this paddle is a steal at the low price they sell it for.

I received my paddle in mid-March, 2023. After first use, I was planning to write a VERY GOOD review, but decided to give it at least one month of use before writing. I'm glad I waited because the paddle EVEN BETTER NOW that it's more broken in. The pop/power it has now is amazing and the spin is still great! After hours of research I kept getting drawn to this Ronbus R3.16 paddle. Looking into the technology of this paddle compared to others on the market, it's similar or possibly better, but for a better price than the closest competitors. I work in footwear innovation so R&D is my background. Honestly, there aren't many paddles better than this one. BUY IT!

I am not one to write a review on a product but in this case I want everyone to know that if you are looking for a effortless, control and power paddle this is your paddle. I was hesitant at first because I like to hit with a paddle before I buy it, because I hate to return things. After researching all the Carbon fiber paddles on the market this paddle had the best results and reviews so I took a chance and ordered it. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait for the new Ronbus Ripple1 paddle to be released because I'm ordering it too.

I've been playing pickleball only 3 months, but had extensive experience in other racquet sports (although that was over 25 years ago!). I started pickleball with a very basic paddle to see if I'd enjoy the sport, but quickly became hopelessly addicted to the game and knew I needed a better paddle. I spent several weeks with the basic paddle to understand that my tactical style was spin, control, and power (in that order). After an extensive search I chose and ordered the Ronbus R3.16. I've had the Ronbus paddle for several days and can honestly it's helped propel my game forward significantly. The paddle is lightweight, ergonomic, and really accentuates my spin/control game with no loss of power whatsoever. I also believe it's good value for the money since I've tried more expensive mainstream brands that didn't seem to perform as well as this one. I am extremely happy with this purchase and recommend it for players with a similar style.

After researching many new paddles, I decided to go with the Ronbus R3.16 because I was looking for a soft touch control paddle. After I ordered my paddle, I received emails keeping me updated on the status of my purchase so I knew when to expect it. After getting my paddle, I have played with it for a week and it is exactly what I was looking for. Not only does it have a soft touch but can also generate power when I need it. This has become my favorite paddle. Another benefit is that it was very affordable. This is definitely a great paddle at a great price.

Message: I started playing in February 2023 so I rate myself a beginner. I'm in the +70 age group. We play REC league in Nashua, NH Mondays and Fridays weekly. Purchased my R3.16 two weeks ago. Greater than 95% of my serves go in play. Returns have improved because the paddle adds topspin I never had as much of before. My tendency to hit the ball too deep has gone away. Working hard on the soft game now. Needless to say, I highly recommend your paddle. It feels rugged, has a reputation for durability, and makes me a more confident player.

This is my second R3.16 paddle and I just love it. The feel in my hand is perfect. Plenty of power/pop/control. With this quality and price point it hard to beat this paddle. My wife loves hers as well.

There are so many budget friendly paddles around now. It's impossible to know what you are missing in the Gen1 arena of paddles. I have run into so many people that have purchased GEN1 paddles from Amazon and Dicks and have absolutely hated them. I have also convinced and met several others using the R3.16 and they all are very happy with their paddle and its performance. All Ronbus paddles are constructed very well and play as wonderfully as advertised. I would always recommend demoing any paddle before you purchase, but if you can't Ronbus is the way to go. No bad surprises in performance, quality and customer service.
