Best touch paddle on the market
This paddle is top-notch. Pretty head light and very maneuverable. Excellent build quality; obviously the TORAY is great (especially at this price point), but the handle was what really impressed me. It's pretty thick, the bevels are pronounced, and there's no exposed polymer. I generally have to use at least one overgrip, but was able to comfortably play this paddle straight out of the box. The paddle is EXTREMELY soft, making thirds, resets and dinks effortless. The sweet spot is huge (expected given the paddles shape and dimensions). It plays almost identically to the Vanguard 2.0 Epic and S2, but due to the raw carbon fiber face has the ability to produce a lot of spin.

Mr
Got the R2.16. Very nice paddle soft feel, good control. Power is not an issue with me, it's the feel and control that I am after and I am very happy that this paddle delivers what I am looking for. I can place the ball where I want most of the time without popping it out of bounds like I used to with my Omega paddle.

Purchased R2 which included the discount. I have numerous paddles with 2 around the $200 range. The R2 is dramatically better than any paddle I own under $150, better than one near $200 and about even with another at half the price!! I will review some paddles periodically so this isn’t the 1st. 16 MM is the R2 and it has solid power without the ball popping off the paddle. I prefer a grip length of 5 inches so this is close enough. Spin, I have no idea as I am not hitting to myself but am told it’s very good. I prefer a wider face and the sweet spot seems wide. Would I recommend this paddle? At a bit over $100 dollars, I highly doubt you will find a paddle this good. No idea how it will hold up but my current grade is A+

4.0 player- love this paddle!
By far one of the best control paddles on the market. I’d argue that it’s the best, particularly for one handed players. The wide face makes for an exceptionally large sweet spot with almost no dead spots to be found. Seriously. The spin that I can generate with the paddle is also top tier, and the smooth, plush feel makes it easily accessible. I played with all the Ronbus paddles, many of the Joolas, Selkriks, CRBNs etc. This paddle is my favorite so far…of ALL of them. I was already in love with the R1.16 but really prefer a short handle and larger sweet spot. This paddle absolutely nails it. Ronbus paddles are far and away the best paddles on the market, especially when you consider the price of these compared to some of these $200+ paddles. I’ll be buying more of these to keep as backups, that’s for sure!

4.0 player review of the R2
Best control paddle on the market. Period. Impeccable soft, plush feel with a sweet spot the size of Texas. The spin is also top notch and easily deployed. I prefer short handles as someone who doesn’t do 2 handed shots. The short handle also brings your hand closer to the sweet spot, allowing for enhanced feedback and control. I’ve tried all the big name brands from Joola, CRBN, Selkirk, Gearbox, Vatic Pro, Onix, Prokennex etc and this is at the very top. Not to mention….the paddle is only $120. Absolutely incredible value. Ronbus know what they are doing.

Have already purchased two of your paddles. Appreciate their “feel” on the ball for control purposes. Also has the ability of “pop/power” when needed. Saw your review on YouTube, and realized that this is the number one carbon paddle when it came to testing and cost. Great value thank you.

R2.16 review
Weight, balance and shape are all great. The R2.16 has a very large sweet spot and is the best control paddle I have tried so far. It holds the ball very well for spin. Drops and resets are easy and dinking very good. The grip feels good although I would prefer the circumference to be a little smaller. This paddle is very soft though and for me I prefer something with more power for my primary paddle.

Great control paddle
This paddle has a really soft touch, it is the best control paddle I've had and has a really low swing weight which makes it great for hand battles. This paddle also generates an INSANE amount of spin. People always think my topspin lobs are going to sail out, but they cut down hard from all the spin. I love the large paddle face and the handle is the perfect length for me. I wish Ronbus would come out with an upgraded version of this paddle with foamed edges to increase the sweet spot even further and add a bit of power. Most higher end Ronbus paddles have a longer handle which is wasted on me since I don't do double backhands and I like to keep my index finger on the back of the paddle. I love the Ronbus 2.16!

Soft as Butter (but Lacks Power)
I'm a DUPR 3.5, and I think this R2.16 is a great paddle, as it has amazingly soft touch and max spin. I just think it doesn't have quite enough power for me. (My preferred paddle is the R1.16, which has a bit more power to get the ball where it needs to be.) FYI, for the R2.16, I placed one inch of lead tape at 9 & 3 and at 7 & 5. Adding that extra weight made this paddle feel like it had a bit more power. My spouse (DUPR 3.0) tried this R2.16. She liked it at the net but didn't love it on full hits and serves. She needs a paddle with a bit more power, as she struggles to generate swing speed. However, when she tried my Ronbus R1.16, she told me she absolutely loves it and is keeping it for herself! :)Also, neither of us like the round visual appearance/ascetics of the R2.16, but admittedly that's a very subjective characteristic. We've also tried two of Bread & Butter's paddles (the Filth and the Drip), and the Ronbus R2.16 plays similar to the Drip in terms of softness and weight. (I actually liked the lower-priced Drip compared to the more expensive Filth, as the Drip is more forgiving on off-center shots.) However, we would choose the R2.16 paddle without any hesitation when compared to the Bread & Butter paddles, as well as many other big name brands out there. I mean, the R2.16 is SQUISHY SOFT for dinking at the net and has some crazy fun spin to play with; that's definitely where it excels.Lastly, compared to the R1.16, I'm sure R2.16 has a larger center of percussion (sweet spot), but it's too big - meaning my spouse and I didn't need it that big for our skill level and we'd prefer not to sacrifice power in order to get the sweet spot so big. The R1.16 still has a generous sweet spot but it comes with a bit more power than the R2.16. Ultimately (for us), the R2.16 just feels a bit sluggish with some noticeable wind resistance on full swings and serves.Regardless of what paddle you choose, the Ronbus company provides outstanding customer service and are an all-around great business (I've talked to the owner). They stand by their warranty 100% and don't mess with you if you need to use it.

Don't let the shape fool you
Don't let this table tennis lookalike paddle fool you - this paddle is a kitchen beast. It was made for dinking and offense at the kitchen line because of it's extremely low swing weight. If you thought you had fast hands with an R1.16, you will think you are the Flash with this paddle. Due to its raw carbon fiber face you will get alot of control and alot of spin on your cut swings. This is a control paddle with an emphasis on hand speed at the kitchen line.
