Lot more spin and control. The ball comes off the face a lot quicker than I am used to and I have had to adjust my swing just a little. Great piece of equipment

I’ve heard people say, “It’s the best paddle for the money“ or “best budget paddle”. I think they are wrong. I think it’s just the best paddle available and I’d still buy it if it was a hundred dollars more.

Easily the best shape for the Ripple V2. The other shapes are on the heavier end and rather difficult to play with. The V2R5 shape works perfectly with the core design and is the closest that you'll get to the original beta ripples.

Extremely hard-hitting, soft and springy, outstanding spin, deep ball pocketing, and a large sweet spot. Plus, it still has room for modifications.

The Ronbus Ripple v2 R5 is a balanced paddle. I was initially disappointed in the drastically reduced power and pop of the v2 when compared to the beta ripple. However, after playing a few games I discovered I played better with the v2 than with my Quanta or Aireo Cyclone.

The reduced power and pop of the V2 allowed me to reset easily. I can just hold the paddle out and it has enough pop to gently send it over the net. I was able and make more controlled touch shots. The swing weight of the R5 is fine and I won all of my hands battles.

I’m curious if it will play hotter after breaking in. Either way, I think it will play fine.

Ronbus just keeps great paddles. Plays great. This paddle allows you to hit all the shots. Blocking, speed ups, dinks and drives.

I love the Ripple R2.14 and R5.14. They are my choice when I play competitively. The paddle feels plush and responsive to my style of play (I came with a pingpong, squash and tennis background).

Power, Spin, fast hands...great

I came to the Ripple R5 from a control style paddle that had power but lacked pop. I already have a naturally hard serve and a lot of topspin, and the R5 has amplified both of those. The extra pop at the kitchen has been great for finishing points. What surprised me most is how much better my drops have become. With my old control paddle, I had to swing harder just to get the ball over, which often led to pop ups, or if I tried to soften it, I’d leave it in the net. With the R5, I can take a smaller swing and consistently drop the ball right where I want it.The paddle just feels natural in my hands. There was almost no learning curve, it elevated my game right away, and after a few weeks I feel completely dialed in. I honestly can’t recommend it enough.

R5 Ripple V2

I have really enjoyed playing with this paddle. I tried playing with the Ripple V2 R2 for a while and much prefer the swing weight of the R5 over the R2 with this specific construction. I look forward to trying the new Quantas, and look forward to the Ripple V3, but for now, the R5 Ripple V2 has been a great paddle to replace my Beta Ripple R2.

V2 R5

I think this paddle is really good like all the other versions of the ripple. As of right now my go to is the R4.

V2 R5 best wide body paddle

Okay this is definitely a improvement over the v2 r2. The lighter swing weight gives you more options to customize. I'm playing it stock at the moment. So far it plays really good. Great spin and the power seams to me to be a little better then the r2. The pop really nice. Sneaks up on my opponent. I would say this is a nice improvement. Another winner.

One fine paddle

I'm a 3.5ish player so take this on that basis. This is a dandy paddle. I can send a variety of nasty serves. I've weighted it a little as everybody seems to do. No problems with hand battles or returns. My dinks seem to work fine. My game seems to have improved with it. That's all I could ask. Some days I lean toward my R4. I can't tell you why.

Best v2 Shape

Incredible feel on the R5 and it solved some of the things I felt I was missing. Great power nd pop and still has room to customize.

Controlled power!

This paddle is still fairly new to me. It’s like if the R2 and R4 had a baby, this would be it. I’ve only had maybe 2 weeks of playing with it and honestly it’s a great pop, solid power and good control. I’m still trying to tweak it because I feel like the balance of this paddle is not where I want it to me. Still playing around with the weight setup. I do have to say this paddle, does have a dead spot at the top. The sweet spot on this is smaller than I imagined. However it is a great paddle and i’m still messing with it. I do have to say though, my go to paddle is still the r2 and r4
