Paddle Features and Technologies
Flexible carbon fiber grid underneath the tighter raw texture finish creates longer dwell time and better grab of the ball, generating enhanced power and maximum spin
Edge grid density and layup are specially tuned to make the paddle dynamically respond to your play; the paddle plays soft when you want it to and firms up the harder you hit
Strategically positioned air permeable edge grid solves the "crushed core" issue, releasing internal pressure during 360 unibody thermoforming process

Still great but quicker
Ronbus r3 Pulsar FX Beta ReviewPlayed an hour tonight with new r3p FX beta. It is noticeably lighter and quicker at 8.22 oz vs. 8.32 for the alpha. The black grip feels slightly thinner than the light blue one. It also feels plusher but less poppy and powerful than the heavier alpha. I would probably add weights to it. I needed to swing harder to serve and drive the ball but it was great at the kitchen. Spin was still great.

R3 Pulsar FX Pro Beta
I am a 4.5 player and rely on touch. I like the power of the R3 Pulsar FX Pro paddle for drives and serves. The swing weight and balance point are not my preference. This is a great paddle for singles and power players.I currently play Nova R1. The Nova fits my game better. I love the soft touch of the Nova.

New go-to paddle
This review is in comparison to my R1Pulsar and R3FXalpa. He R3FXalpha version has certainly more pop, spin potential and control than the R1Pulsar. In comparing the R3FX alpha bs the beta model, both in stock non-weighted condition,I feel the alpha version had more power and topspin. This may be due to it being slightly heavier than the beta version. Going to and some weight and continue to use the beta version as I’m still finding it a big improvement over the R1Pulsar which I liked a lot. As stated, it has great pop, plenty of controllable power and general great feel for dinking and net playI’m sure, when some more weight placement, it will become my go-to paddle. Hoping its play durablity will be acceptable

Another Great Paddle
Ronbus has upgraded the Pulsar paddle with a really great paddle. This paddle has more control than the original Pulsar 3. Ronbus don't seem to want to push out paddles for the sake of putting out new paddles. They take time to develop a new paddle. I have played a good deal of games with it already. I highly recommend this paddle. Great value for the money compared to the others out there.

R3 Pulsar FX Alpha
I have been playing mostly with the R1 Nova since it was released. I received the Pulsar FX-R3 Alpha on February 29th. I intentionally made this review after 2 weeks, since my experience with the R1N, after break in of about 2 weeks, the paddle became more plush which I loved when grinding in the kitchen. So far the R3PFX stayed as powerful and poppy since Day 1 of play. Some specs of my R3PFX: Initially it was at 8.4 oz, with 5 grams of the 2 grams/inch lead tape @ 5&7,2 Ronbus overgrips, Profile Pro and protective tape. Currently sits at 9.6 oz which all my paddles are at 9.2 oz. Noticeably, the R3PFX has more power and pop, than the R1PFX. Significant dwell time was the first thing I felt on the first week of use. My serves and topspin drives were looping more and some would hit the fence. This I believe is due to the new 2D CF grid effect. Once I increased my swing stroke to compensate the dwell time, my drives now are more spot on. I can generate more power and spin with the R3PFX compared to my R1N. Topspin and slice returns hits closer to the baseline more often than the R1N. My resets, dinks and drops with less push and relaxed grip strength all stay in the target kitchen spots. Firefights seems to feel slower than the R1N besides the extra pop on the counters. My rolling volleys spin a lot more and drops sharply. My speed ups and drives have been very successful and sometimes gets my opponents caught off guard. Overheads and volley putaways has more power and trampolines with a lot of kick. Really impressed with the new 2D CF grid technology on this paddle. Besides being a nice looking paddle (love the face artwork), it has delivered as expected of a higher performing paddle. This is my paddle of choice for singles and if I play more aggressively.

Love this FXR3
I’ve played with this paddle a few weeks now and has completely met my expectations. I loved the original Pulsar. This is definitely an improvement. Still great spin and power, but the feel is much better imo.

Improved Pulsar
I played with the old Pulsar since I started playing so I was a bit reluctant to switch. Now having played with the new FX for a few weeks, it is an upgrade all around. Oddly, I feel like it has more control and pop. The reduced swing weight took a bit of an adjustment as I found myself hitting counters too early. Very pleased with the new series.

Great Paddle
I've been playing with the R1 Pulsar for over a year now and love that paddle. I was a little nervous when I heard they were going to be discontinuing the pulsar line. I found the the Nova was not nearly "poppy" enough for my liking. But I'm here to say the FX line is a good replacement for the pulsar line! The FX has great power and pop. It will take a bit to get used the pop around the kitchen line but this paddle has slid right in as my everyday player!!

R3 PULSAR FX
Got this new paddle today and played the same day. Just a great paddle, soft enough with soft touch when it comes to a dinking. Besides, it has ample of power too, when serving, speeding up and driving. Also, it has a good balance when holding it with one hand and two hands as well. The handle is long enough for comfortable for two handed backhand shots. Overall very satisfied with this paddle. I noticed a significant improvement from where Ronbus started and what the quality is right now. Definitely recommend this paddle to have it in once’s pickleball bag).
