Quanta R5 Review
After about a week of playing with this paddle every day, I can say it is my favorite paddle that I have used so far. After my journey of looking for something similar to the Pulsar FX R2 that had a little more power, this is the first paddle that I have played that marks all of my boxes. I played the Pulse V, Pro 4, Ripples (both), and the Eleven Six Power since moving on from the Pulsar FX, and the Quanta construction is phenomenal. I like the idea of a wide body power paddle without having unwieldly levels of power. This paddle is easy to control compared to other power paddles I have tried, but does not leave you wanting more power. And for the price, it is a no brainer. It does benefit from weight, but that is an easy modification. Well done Ronbus, I look forward to the next innovations in the future! I will be trying out the Quanta R2 as well, I like the R5 since I used the Ripple V2 R5, but the R2 is a great shape as well.

Bang for the Buck!!
Wow, this paddle is excellent, especially for the price point. I have been playing with a CRBN TFG2 (I have two, needed to replace one after 6mos+ as the spin went down), and I will be returning my Selkirk Boomstik as the Quanta R5.16 checks all the boxes for me and I can buy three for the price of either of the competitors paddles. The Quanta R5.16 after adding weight plays phenomenal (I added 3g on each side at 3 and 9 o’clock and a 10g Slyce speed coin to the butt cap, total weight 7.7oz stock to 8.5oz after weights). It has better feel than the TFG2 or Boomstik, and has excellent control given it is a “power paddle.” To me, it is the upgrade to my TFG2, filling in the gaps I felt that paddle had for me, and is more controllable than the Boomstik. And the bang for your buck?!?! Outrageous! Well done Ronbus. The thought that went into the construction details is great. Just goes to show waiting a while for the rest of the market to catch up to the new technology releases is worth it. I think foam is the future, for now ;-) Now let’s work on spin longevity so we don’t have to buy paddles after using them for 6 mos, since the foam cores won’t break down.

Rec Player
Paddle arrived yesterday, stock weight 7,6 oz, my weight set up was 5 grams of tunning tape (1gram per inch) on each side starting between R and 5 and going down the paddle, two strips of electrical tape and overgrip made paddle weight 8.1 oz. This was my targeted weight coming from Joola Scorpeus 3S 14mm. I played 4.0+ open play with the new paddle. If you are looking for a precision paddle that performs amazingly well in fast hand battles in the kitchen I would seriously consider Ouanta R5. I feel it performed better than the Scorpeus. Great job by Ronbus!

Simply perfect
This is an amazing value at $100. The power and control are 2nd to none. i let another person play with it and she fell in love with it as well. I ended up purchasing one for her.

My favorite shape
I like this aero top standard shape as I find it more offensive bust still stable. This has taken the top spot over my r2

Loved this paddle! Added weight to the sides and it rips the ball. Great for soft shots but really shines on serves and drives

Top tier paddle
I absolutely love this shape. Easy for two handed backhands and fast in the hands. I also really appreciate how light this is out of the box, making it perfect for customization. The spin and control are exceptional. Pop is just enough without being too wild, and power seems cleanly linear with swing speed. This is something I value in an all foam paddle because many of the other brands have a strange power to swing speed relationship, making it hard to dial in. This feels natural and intuitive. This is now my favorite paddle and for the price is absolutely unbeatable. Insane!

Best wide body out there
I like this shape better than the r2. Just my opinion. Plays fast and when weighted up exceeds expectations. It has it all. Another winner. Ronbus just keeps winning!

Wife’s favorite paddle
Purchased this paddle for my wife and she loves it. She loves how quick the paddle is at the net and the pop she gets from her flick shots is awesome. It was easy to customize the weight for her since the static weight is so light. I added 3 grams on each side of the paddle and a hot pink overgrip, which adds a nice contrast of color to the blues in the paddle. Great job Ronbus!

Favorite paddle
My new favorite paddle. Tried the gx2 power and boomstick but way too poppy. The power is top tier but control is way better than the other two. No problems with resets and dinks…and $99?!? Insane value. Can’t imagine buying more expensive paddles again.
