Played in my first tournament with this new paddle...Amazing! Great touch, power at the net and drives were very powerful and accurate. Love how it resets the ball etc... Came to me new at 7.9oz and added lead tape, now is at 8.4oz... perfect feel and still not that heavy!!!! Had 4 people ask me what paddle I was using! I am a 4.5 DUPR.

Awesome paddle. I own 6 Ronbus styles. My club members love them as well. Have over a dozen members using the brand.

I purchased this Black Quanta R2.16 <220gms as a backup paddle to my Blue Quanta R2.16 which I purchased in Oct 2025. Ronbus recently sent me a replacement for the blue paddle because the edge guard separated from the top of the paddle. Customer service was quick with their response and sent me a replacement. I received my Black Quanta R2.16 recently and practiced with it and noticed it had more pop and power. The Blue Quanta is definitely a softer paddle which really elevated my soft game but I like the pop and power more and my soft game hasn’t suffered terribly. I have not added weights to the Black Quanta ( dealing with shoulder tendinitis and no cartilage in my elbow ) and am happy with the performance so far. I have relegated my Blue Quanta to be my backup. This is my opinion of the Black Quanta and it may be different than other players. I don’t have a DUPR but I’m somewhere between a 3.5 - 4.0 lol. It was a pleasure dealing with Ronbus.

Quanta R2- After adding 3grams near upper corner and 3grams near lower corner on both sides, the manuerability, power and control was much improved. The Quanta R2 is currently my main go-to paddle. Highly recommended to players who want to customize their paddle!!!

First day playing with my R2.16 and I must say I’m pleasantly surprised as to how well this paddle plays and I’m loving it!

Paddle has a nice pop but is very controllable. I’ve seen a lot of YouTube reviews before purchasing it. A few said that it sounded a lot like the Boomstik which I didn’t think so. It has a nice loud sound when you snack at the bull but it doesn’t have that hollow sound of the Boomstik.

Got some Tungsten tape and played around with a few configurations. Ended up with 3 1/2 grams stacked on top of each other at the 3 and 9 positions. Paddle now weighs a cool 8.3oz with a little more power and stability. Not that it was really lacking without. Even without any added weight the paddle played very well and liked that light fast feeling. I think that at some point, I might go back to stock.

This paddle is replacing my JOOLA Ben Johns IV. Thinking of getting the R4. Job well done Ronbus AA++

Amazing paddle! I love using this paddle. Super grippy face, Light in the hand. Super big sweet spot. Lots of pop but soft at the line.... LOVE THIS PADDLE!

Edge guard becoming loose almost all around the paddle. Handle is a bit bulky, power decrease as it breaks in over time . Consistent paddle with weight but quality control needs addressing. Grit does not last more than a month of use. Light weight does allow for better customization if you're into that. Stock paddle does feel unstable if not weighted

I have both the blue and black series Q.R2.16. The black came in a little higher static weight and a little stiffer than the blue. I'm only adding 3gr on each side to improve twist weight. I think it has more power than the blue and plays equally as good.

This paddle, when properly weighted, is an absolute beast. I’m a 4.2 DUPR player and I absolutely love it. I can rip drives that dip sharply right over the net, and the spin is about as good as it gets.

My setup includes two 3g weight strips placed just on and below the top curve and just on and above the bottom curve. With this configuration, the sweet spot feels huge, and I can really drive through my shots with confidence. Even with the added weight, it remains very light and incredibly fast in hand battles.

By far, this is the best paddle I’ve played with to date.

I love the new black Quanta! I feel it needs less perimeter weight and has more control than the blue Quanta.

I like the paddle a lot but I am trying to learn how to control the pop and poet

Really enjoying this paddle. My first time with foam and I’m hooked. Even bought a second as a backup.

So I’m a paddle wonk. I watch the YouTube videos with the usual reviewers. I bought the R2 Qanta a few months ago and I slapped lead tape at 9 and 3 o’clock. Not very precise, but I think about 4 g or so on each side. I had read about the paddle being very light out of the box and that it would “unlock” with more power with some added weight. BINGO! I also understood that the interior foam distribution is very similar to much more expensive paddles. I was a retail buyer in a sporting goods store with a heavy tennis department for 25 years, so I know about sourcing and product and marketing BS.
Bottom line is …you just don’t have to spend so much money to get an excellent paddle that competes with ANYBODY else’s! That’s why I bought a second Quanta R2 as a backup before Ronbus does something silly and discontinues it. The company really disrupted the market with this level of high quality responsiveness and power at this price point. Zero hype. ALL performance! I currently have 3 gm of tungsten at 3 and 9 on my new Quanta R2. With the wide body performance and the weight I have the perfect set up. DUPR 3.9. Reality: more of a 3.6!
But good enough to know value when I find it.

It’s a light paddle with great control. I was hopping for a little more power, but overall, happy with how I’m playing with this paddle.

OBSESSED! First the customer service was awesome. I bought a paddle and chose the wrong color. CS said they could handle it but I would lose my referral discount. So she canceled my order so I could order again and keep my discount.

But the paddle itself is even better. I chose it because Claude recommended it to offset my weaknesses on the court and my sore elbow.

I pushed back against Claude because I prefer a different shape and expected a rec of a more common brand.

Claude pushed back again. So I decided to try it.

And my game immediately became better than ever. In fact, I won my league with a 4.7 point differential the first week I used it!

I have played better and can see it has offset my weaknesses. I love it!

Enjoying my new Quanta R2.16 paddle. I have always had a shorter handle, so getting used to the longer one as I don't have a 2 handed backhand. I do wish the paddle had a little more roughness to the surface, but my spin still seems to be good on my inside out shot.

Certainly like the paddle since I've used it before. The grip is way too small tho. Would have been nice to request a certain grip width for my hand. I'll just have to over grip it.

Love my 2nd Quanta R.2.16 just hoping the glue on the trim holds longer than 7 months this time.

The quanta paddle is very good all around. Like it very much which made me buy a second due to the first paddle had the edge guard come unglued. Just after 8 months of using it regularly (3-4 time a week) the edge guard came unglued and rattling around. Other folks also experienced this. Unfortunately Ronbus warranty is for 6 months. Ronbus, Please do better on the edge guard integrity.
